Album: 88 VW Cabriolet-- For Sale
Tim and I acquired this little cabby for a very good price. Dana, a mutual friend, took ownership from a family who did not want to deal with it anymore-- they thought she was dead. VW's never die... Dana did a little exhaust work and installed a "new" top; I tinkered in the engine bay a little bit; and Tim and I have started a cosmetic overhaul on her. When she is finished, Cabby will look incredible.

Album: My GTI
This is my 2003 VW GTI. Vehicle: Silverstone Grey, BBS 17" Forged RC's, APR Chip (91/Stock Programs), Autotech Club Sport Suspension, Carbonio Cold Air Intake, OEM HID's from Germany, Hummer H2 shorty antenna, Smoked marker lights. Sound/Multimedia: Eclipse 8443 CD Player, Kenwood 8" Touch-screen, Kenwood Navigation, Kenwood or Audiovox Plug-n-Play Sirius Tuner, JL Audio 500/5 Amp, Focal 136k Polykevlar Components, Focal 5" Subwoofer, Eclipse DVD Player, Sony PS2. The Screen and Radio are molded into a custom console where the factory radio used to be mounted. All factory mounting points were used. The new radio is now mounted where the HVAC controls used to reside. A new fabricated center console was created to house the HVAC Controls and make for easier future upgrades (a thanks to the installers at Custom Sounds, Fairview Hts., IL). The install is still a bit rough. I have to finish sanding, sanding, and a bit more sanding. Then I will wrapp the consoles in a factory-matched vinyl and paint others. Good times!

Album: American LeMans Series/SCCA Speedworld Challenge
In support of the Mazda and MAzdaSpeed program, Sirius sponsored a Mazda Formula Car, driven by Jamie Bach of B-K Motorsports. I attended the race to represent Sirius at the B-K pit area. I am a huge ALMS/prototype racing fan (as well as GT class and others), so this was a great treat for me! This weekend happened to be a weekend of record-breaking heat and humidity for Portland. So one can imagine how uncomfortable standing on black tarmac, asphalt, and concrete all day could be... But even the uncomfortable weather of the weekend couldn't break my spirits (105 plus humidity)! Jamie ended up finishing a very respectable 7th place after qualifying and starting 14th (pretty sure of that...).

Album: SeaTac Hertz Annual Company Picnic
In order to increase Sirius awareness among the Hertz employees, I volunteered to provide music for their annual company picnic on a Sunny Saturday in September. The event was fun, the employees enjoyed the music, and I enjoyed their BBQ! I already visisted the Hertz location since the event, and now everybody recognizes my face.. I am "the Sirius Guy".
